Summer isn't the best time for organization, is it? Seems like it's best suited for an easy-going, spur-of-the-moment non-schedule ... um ... schedule.
Which is great. But I get nothing really DONE.
True, I have 35 of the yo-flowers separated from the bunch. Only 100 more to go (I shouldn't do math ~ it never makes me feel better).
And true, I finished 2 new little baby/toddler nap quilts then spent some time with Laura over tea &
cake to photograph them while discussing the trials & tribulations of being 17 (and 54).
And another true, I snagged a TON of selvedges from my even-more-disheveled interior designer friend Sooz (o, don't make that face, S; you KNOW it's true). I sorta invited myself over for the afternoon, pan o' my famous brownies in hand (should I post the recipe?) with a promise to
organize her stash ~ which I DID do ~ and just trimmed those pesky selvedges off for her so ...um...she wouldn't have to worry about them anymore. Yeah, that's it. This pic is one of 3 basket's full :)
So, I guess I really DID get some things accomplished. And had a lovely time in the process. and I suppose the thing is ... is ... Life isn't about Schedules and Organization and Order. We're not measured, at the end of All This, by how well dusted our homes are or how neat the sewing room is kept. Thank goodness we aren't.
Life is Good :)
